Wood is a natural product that absorbs moisture and expels it (dries out) this is greatly affected by usage and also by storage.

Items should be wiped clean with damp cloth after use. Do not soak. Depending on usage our wood products should be occasionally treated with our wax finish. With a soft lint free cloth apply a light coat on all surfaces, let wax penetrate and dry slightly (15-20 minutes) then buff with another soft lint free cloth. Regular waxing will keep your heirloom wood items healthy and looking good for a lifetime.

Water/moisture will adversely affect wood items this is evident by slight “ruff-nice”. If this occurs simply take some fine sandpaper (220-320 grit) lightly sand the affected areas in the same direction as the grain in the wood, this should only take a few back and forth motions. Apply wax as part of your regular maintenance and your items are ready to impress your friends again.
